First of all, congratulations!!!

But man, that was one fun read! I wasn't a minion back then (as a devoted Snarkling, I had no room for other blogs at the time. Now I'm a blog whore) ----anyhoo, what happened to the evil little man named Fred?

And did you add Pixie sex?

And that is lovely news.

Did I add pixie sex? Well, no. ... Some of what was there got edited out. My editor suggested removing about four paragraphs. It ranks down there around "sweet" on the romance meter, except for that part about ... oh heck, no spoilers.

It's "safe" for a mature 14 and up.

Humm ... now that this thing is going to be published, should I say what happens to Fred?

Fred meets his just punishment in a very dramatic way ... and along the way he get's bit a few times.

[eg: "It was one of the few times I’ve outflown my mother, but I reached Father first. Humans have such strange reactions to seeing a pixie for the first time. True, the Fred-creature had seen Mother and Father, but he hadn’t understood what he’d seen. He saw me. He saw me on the hunt with my teeth grown sharp and the bloodlust in my eyes and heart. I bit his knife hand and felt the bones give way. He screamed what in a Gahazi beast would be a death scream. Large humans are disabled by the shock of even a minor wound.

"He shook his entire body and threw his arm wildly upward. Had I not let loose, I would have been smashed into a tree. As it was I was thrown with great force into the darkness. I was disoriented. But I heard the Fred-thing scream again. Mother had bitten him on the arm and neck. I think we were both sick for a week after tasting the Fred-thing."

Note: Fred has no sense of self-preservation and comes back for a few more rounds.]

He goes crazy. (Meeting Pixies is a life altering experience.)

Fred's funny, and his end is more or less permenent. Fred resembles someone I know ... an they're not even an agent.

We meet the evil, (similar name, but no relation to E.E.) acid-spitting wormies. Then we save the world, more or less by accident.

HI BERNITA! don't you miss miss snark?

Oh, my cover art is really great. It fits the story.

I don't know how to "do" links. The cover is here:

Sha'el is a fine example of the progress a talented writer makes when they have the desire to get better and the discipline to work at the craft. Good job and good luck!

Yay for Sha'el, princess of pixies! Let us know what the title and release date is.

Dear writtenwyrdd,

The title is Pixie Warrior. The tentative release date as e-book is 11/25 though there may be a slight delay. It's initially available through the website, then through other e-book sellers. A service that provides ebook access to libraries and schools will also offer it.

As paper it will be on Amazon at least. A few independants have expressed interest to me personally.

I suppose I should be closely following all those details, but I'm not. I'm working on book 2 as I can, and writing an article for a church history journal. (Sorta my secret, non-pixie life.) I'm putting more effort into the journal article than book 2,right now.

The release for paperback is supposed to be about April 2008.

The publisher's web page is drolleriepress.com. They're very nice to work with and very professional.

Welcome New Author chat (through their web page at "interact") for me is also tentatively scheduled for 11/25 at 4 pm eastern. Details are on their interact page. Come by and visit!

I'm very pleased. I like my own story! Deena, my editor, has proded me into making it better ... And it wasn't even that painful.

Drollerie is new. I was a bit hesitant to submit. I'm glad I did. I've been treated very well, and they seem very professional. I'm especially impressed with their efforts to place their books where they will sell. I'm hard to please. I'm pleased.
