Writing Exercise

It had to happen sooner or later. EE has died. You open the newspaper to the obituaries. EE's is about 250 words. What does it say? Deadline Sunday, 10 AM eastern. Submit as a comment to this post. Don't submit anonymously if you want credit.

Idea suggested by Whirlochre.

The Spike Miiligan Joke:

Two hunters from New Jersey go hunting in the woods. One collapses and the other rings for help telling the operator he thinks his friend is dead. When she asks if he is sure, there is a gun shot before he comes back on the line to say "Ok, now what?"

This one freaks me out.

I really don't think it would be nice of you to duck out on us like that.

The suggestion that this event is inevitable suggests a certain lack of ambition on the part of one so purportedly Evil...

What is the correct Latin term for "killing of an editor by moles"?

I have to admit; and yes it frightens me, I'm actually looking forward to talpianna's mole thing.

Seriously, Tal? Wouldn't that simply be immoliation?

No, immoliation is what you get with an emollient, like a face cream. This would be molecular dissipation.

Avagadro was molested by 10 to the 23rd power moles in his life. Hence his aversion to normality.

(hint, in the end, it's a science joke)

I'm sorry--I'm crying too hard to read the obit. I guess I'll have to sit this one out.

I still remember my first foray into Mexico and how surprised I was that they featured Mole on the menu...

EE tu, Mole?

Gosh, I hope that Mexican dish was something like chicken with mole sauce, which is lovely, but doesn't have one molecule of mole (or mole of mole) in it. :)
