Rashad.
Congratulations, enjoying your success over coffee.
This is fantastic! I went back and looked at my comments on the Face-lift and I feel like a nay-saying curmudgeon.
Ooh, congratulations!
Congratulations.
And many more books.
You sold The S-Word to S&S? Well done, lol!
I remember that! Loved it. Well deserved. You rock!
Congratulations on a successful deal.
Gallery Books = Simon & Schuster. That's wonderful, Chelsea! Congrats. Here's hoping for awesome reviews and mondo sales.
Way to go!
Thank you all SO MUCH!!!! I'm so thankful to everyone here for your help and support!!!
Buffy, I love the "S" theme! It's given me quite the dopey smile on several occasions.
Arhooley, not at all! It's great comments like yours that allowed me to whip the query into better shape!
Thank you again to everyone :)
Congratulations! :)
The first of many sales, I have no doubt! Chelsea, you're one of those folk who just exude talent from the first sentence. I could always pick out your voice in the sea of new beginnings and queries. It was just a matter of time, the right book, the right agent and the right publisher. I'm so, so happy it all came together for you!
Hugs and cheers!
Great news!
I would love to read the finished query Chelsea. Is there a place I can go where you've posted it?
Bibi
Hi Bibi: Chelsea was kind enough to provide that version for my blog when she snagged her agent last summer.
It's here.

Awwww, Phoenix! *blush* Thank you for your kind words, and for posting the query link!!!!
For those who are interested in these kinds of details, I almost always submitted to agents who wanted sample pages. I figured it increased the chances of getting a request--an agent who didn't love the query might take a peek at the pages anyway, and might end up liking them. You never know!
Thanks for all the support!
Hurrah Chelsea, that's terrific news! Go you!
