Family all good in Tokyo and beyond here. Tokyo got a big shake but damage is relatively limited all things considered. Just a few things out of place at home and no hot water. The North of Japan got hit really hard, and the tsunami appears to have done most of the damage, rather than the quake itself. We got off lightly down here.
Paca's on FB and in NZ now (he can run but he can't hide; he only recently left Hawaii). Tsunami warnings for NZ, but maritme only and no threat to land according to his last update about 2 hours ago.
Anxiety levels are somewhat raised here, and the availability of real, objective information is limited to say the least. Not least, I guess, because this is an unprecedented situation.
Waiting for things to reach some kind of new normality...

Email might not be working.
However, twitter and facebook may be working.
I don't use twitter and I have no idea if Ril or Paca use FB.
All okay here in San Diego. Saw some idiots surfing for a while.
Sending prayers to the seriously affected areas.

Good to hear from you, ril.
My prayers are with all of you. Thanks for letting us know you are okay.
I'm getting a little more worried about ril what with all the explosions . . .
