No. That's not in my contract. I wouldn't even need an agent to catch that one. I don't think it is in the original one they sent us and certainly not in the one I signed.
I can see where it would be. I'll say something to them. I and my agent found them to be very friendly and easy to work with. They're small, but have experience in publishing and are carving out a nitch in the paranormal/suspense/thriller arena.
Just in case anyone is checking back here, I got this email back from Lynn Calvert the President of Otherworld Publications about the clause that was mentioned:
"ACK! That hasn't been in our contracts for over a year! Thank you for letting me know."

Congratulations! I remember that query. It sounds like a great book.
Hey, congratulations!
Congratulations. I'll look for the book when it comes out.
Woop! Congrats :)
Woot, Steve!! Congratulations!
Thanks all!!!
:-D
And yes, 100% of the credit goes to us.
With EE composing an inordinate percentage of "us".
oh and PS -- I don't care how famous I get, you guys can always call me "Steve".
On the other hand, if I get rich and famous, I'll insist on being called "Mr. Prosapio."
:-D
Yes! Congratulations. I remember the query as well. Looking forward to seeing it.
Congratulations! I remember this query too -- excellent premise. Can't wait to read.
My Goodness! The minions are on a roll! Well done, Steve!
I hope you negotiated on some of the more bizarre contractual terms, such as not being able to write your next book without their consent.
Awesome! Hope it sells well!
Congratulations, Steve!!
Yay! Congrats!
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
BuffySquirrel, you are kidding right? LOL

What the what?

Oh, GOOD! Because it's in their sample contract, and I did wonder :).
If they're not actually putting it in the contract, I wonder why they leave it up--it's really off-putting.
