Jessica Gold Haralson of MEDIAITE (media-ite, get it?) a media website. http://www.mediaite.com/tv/vampires-so-2009-whats-next-braiiinns/ postulates the next trend on media after Vampires (True Blood, Twilight, Vampire Diaries, Being Human, Preternatural Rights, Anita Blake) and in a word, it's BBRRRAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNNNSSSSSSS
That's zombies in our near future.
We've had ghosts, mentalists, vampires and now zombies -- what's next?
Well, there's a remake of "V" (an alien sci fi), a werewolf series and a "sex and the City" werewolf thing that frightens me in that hairy women with fangs are not one of my turn-ons.
Zombies are cool, but I am holding out for a necromancer series, (vampires are whimps compared to wizards that can raise the dead). Also wraiths would be a good choice . . . so many great choices and we get stuck with the familiar werewolves and vampires.
I would like to see more mythical beasts make a comeback as well - something more interesting than dragons.

All this is nice, but I'm more interested in the stuckness in the csrtoon, guys. Yee-ha, anon.
