All your comments have really helped--especially EE's input. The story is set up to become a potential series...Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09231706346312491242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26791026.post-89810654215901080732007-10-16T21:14:00.000-04:002007-10-16T21:14:00.000-04:00Maybe the BEG is a setup for a series--every book ...Maybe the BEG is a setup for a series--every book Dylan has to thwart BEG again, like Bond & SPECTRE.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26791026.post-7859266586264605102007-10-16T16:41:00.000-04:002007-10-16T16:41:00.000-04:00Preventing the B.E.G. discovering Animalia feels l...Preventing the B.E.G. discovering Animalia feels like a nebulous goal to me. How can Dylan be sure they won't discover it some time in the future? Does she convince them all it doesn't exist? Just removing their leader from power doesn't feel like enough.nonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00415222406280230021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26791026.post-69614805071918036812007-10-16T16:12:00.000-04:002007-10-16T16:12:00.000-04:00This reads like something my girls would've enjoye...This reads like something my girls would've enjoyed reading when they were younger. I remember feeling the same about the query, but I had questions.

The way EE reorganized the info put most of the story in perspective, but I still have a question - how do they get from Lake Michigan to the Indian Ocean - is there an underwater passageway through the earth?

And there is the question of how the others found Animalia. I know these questions are hard to address in 400 words- I'm just wondering.

I like the bird's name.

And this was a good one from EE -
"Criminals rule the world now and humanity is hanging in there.]"Robin S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03258459688300851984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26791026.post-12368261568584169712007-10-16T13:57:00.000-04:002007-10-16T13:57:00.000-04:00This sounds fun, but I would definitely use EE's v...This sounds fun, but I would definitely use EE's version and continue from there.

Also, and this is nitpicky I know, but DYLAN may have never thought her dreams would come true, or never believed her dreams would come true, but I don't believe for a second she never imagined they would. It's one of the fundamental reasons for having dreams--imagining they'll someday come true. That's one of those little things that sounds wrong when you read it, even if you don't immediately know why. And when a few of them add up, you lose credibility.Blogless Trollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03983848259551488867noreply@blogger.com
