Bat guano is worth a fortune! I call that a great rejection.
It's 34.99 for 10 pounds from Clean Air Gardening, or 3.50 a pound. I'm guessing the amount I usually send with a manuscript weighs a good deal less, maybe forty cents worth.

I was a mere tot when I received my first bat house. Their guano, I say without fear of significant challenge, is the finest fertilizer. Untreated, all mine is untreated, and it's yours for $2.50 a pound. Confucius says, "He who will not economize will have to agonize."
