Your book edited by Evil Editor?

Brenda Novak has informed me that due to unexpected personal considerations she has withdrawn from the Revlon Challenge. Sorry, if anyone was enthusiastically looking forward to buying my services.

Are we talkin full edits, lines edits, or those BS ones where someone says 'Nice protagonist'?

The works. Proofreading, line editing, critiquing, pointing out anything that seems like a plot hole or is unnecessary or disorganized.... I only go through it once, so no guarantees I'll spot everything.

Damn. Now I wish I had finished my book and not started reading cartoon strips. Damn. How about one chapter? What if aiding humanity gives you a prickly depression for feeling? Damn.

When will you set your price? I've really missed Brenda's auctions and loved how they used to be. I'm all for raising money for any worthwhile cause, but diabetes is close to home for me and close to my heart. I hold it up there with the most important causes we can raise awareness and funds for. I don't have a lot of extra money sitting around in a hoard box, but when it comes to causes that I'm this passionate about, I'm willing to dip into savings and into the kiddos Christmas fund. It certainly sweetens the pot knowing I stand even a remote chance of wining a critique from you.

The challenge starts Sept. 14th, and lasts six weeks. Presumably I can set my prices whenever I'm ready, though I'm not sure when Ms. Novak will post a list of items available and their prices.

I have, in the past, also offered smaller editing jobs (first 10,000 words) and signed books, and if one of my offerings sells immediately, I may have the opportunity to offer it again. I'll ask.
