Title: Muffington Is Scary But Turlet Would Surely Drive Men Away
"Fired at nine, vacationing at noon." EE drove his BMW along a poplar-lined lane.
"Not fired. All computer programmers get fired. I night never go back. I might stay here in East Dogpatch, become a naked, tree-hugging, forest ranger," Sissy Muffington chuckled.
"Fired is what you get for asking T. Halsey Innis, managing partner of Gilhooley, Barnes, Halsey and Throckmorton if his nickname was ballsey-boy." EE sneered, gunning the car. It's tires left the ground as he topped a hill. Mere seconds of weightless delight left Sissy's stomach gurgling like her last name was Turlet.
"Watch the road, Sparky! I'm not Susan Hayward." Fragrant honeysuckle whipped past the window.
"Halsey's nickname was Hal like Prince Hal from Shakespeare. His father endowed a school guaranteeing his son a bad time; GBH&T built a printing plant there." At fast as EE skidded through turns, sidewinder rattlers got motion sick.
"The wastrel boy-king. That nails him. I'll settle for a night away from the grind. A romance under the silvery moon, sparkling stars and indigo sky." Sissy hinted. EE interrupted, grinning.
"Time to start your Valentiney heart Dearykins-snookums. Brace yourself!" EE drove the wheels against the momentum of the car and drifted around the broad turn, tires smoking. He squealed tire through another hairpin, then headed up a narrow macadam towards the knobby summit.
"My heart's beating double time. We got time, try going slower."
"Slow down? My dad drove here so fast I used to fudge my boxers. I love this. Hold onto my stick-shift baby." EE twisted the steering. Sissy shrieked. Rabbits freaked. The car did a 360 and missed two trees by hairs.
"Humina," Sissy blurbled. EE gunned the engine, drifted the Beemer through the twisting roads of dating, up the mountain of love and into the petunia patch of Orgasm WV.

Hold onto my stick shift, baby
Oh yes!
Dave, you're a naughty valentine...............
What a fun and interesting way to describe the action. Very nice, Dave. Love how all the animals reacted.
This is the opening of a short story that I needed to focus on, so I changed the names and made it fun.
Well, I'm intrigued - although I am not sure my heart could take this story continuing!
I've been on this date! Susan Hayward......sigh -- I remember that movie well.
Three perfect key lime truffles on a crystal dish with a sprig of mint.
EE makes love like he drives his car - fast, hard, rough and he leaves scratches. He's smokin'...
very funny, with great names in particular.
Damn.
That's just how I like it, but hey, Dave, what's the deal with calling ole' muttonchops Sparky, huh, huh?
(Good one!)
Sparky?
I needed an epithet that didn't conflict. "Sparky" is epithetic enough to follow "Watch the road" and bland enough to stay out of the way of Susan Hayward.
